Product Overview

HRT-L280R is a 76–81 GHz FMCW radar level transmitter for non-contact measurement of liquids and bulk solids. Its narrow radar beam helps reduce interference from internal vessel structures and supports stable level measurement in tanks, vessels and silos when correctly installed.

Applications

Typical applications include storage tanks, process vessels, water and wastewater basins, silos and bulk-solids storage. It is suitable for continuous level measurement where non-contact sensing is preferred.

Selection & Application

Selection should consider measuring distance, medium surface, dielectric properties, antenna type, process connection, process temperature and pressure, and internal tank structures. The measuring range and antenna configuration should be matched to the actual vessel and installation conditions.

Installation & Integration

Install the radar transmitter with a clear measuring path toward the material surface. Avoid positioning the antenna directly above feed streams, ladders or other structures that can create strong false echoes. The mounting position should provide sufficient clearance from the vessel wall, and the antenna should be oriented toward the target surface where practical.

Configuration Options

The product is available with multiple measuring-range and antenna configurations, including threaded and flanged process connections. Output and communication options include 4–20 mA, RS485, HART and Modbus.
